1. Patient's Rights and Responsibilities
- By becoming our partner in your healthcare you can help your caregivers take the best possible care of you or your family members.
- As it is in every civilised world, all humans have the rights to live, speak, ask questions', move, enjoy life to the fullest and the right to also help us fully meet your needs.
- Give us the correct and complete information about your present condition, past illnesses, hospitalization, medications and other health history.
- Follow your treatment plan as it was developed with you.
- Tell us of any concerns about your ability to follow the plan of your treatment.
- Tell us if our staff members properly attend to you or if you feel any discomfort, or if you are not getting enough relief from the treatment we give you.
- Be considerate of other patients and staff members and their property. Abusive, threatening or inappropriate language or behavior will not be tolerated at any point while we cater for you.
2. We respect our client's privacy
- Our client(s) have the right, within the law, to personal privacy and information. Privacy such as manifested by the right to:
- Refuse to see anyone who is not officially amongst staff members including visitors, persons officially connected with the healthcare facility but who are not directly involved in her care.
- Expect that all communications and other records pertaining to her care, including the source of payment for treatment, be treated as confidential.
- Request transfer to another available room if another patient or visitors in that room are unreasonably disturbing to said client.
- Be placed in protective privacy and/or be assigned an alias name when considered necessary for personal safety and protection.
- Be allowed to see her, family, legal counsel and any other essential guests at the stipulated visiting hours while our staff members do their utmost in meeting her healthcare needs.
- All our clients will not be allowed to smoke any form of tobacco plus including cannabis and sneaking such into our wards will not be tolerated.
